Tourism in Basilicata is concentrated in a handful of key places, each with its own character. These are among the most sought-after comuni, or municipalities, for buyers looking for a high-end home in the region:
- Maratea: Basilicata’s only stretch of Tyrrhenian coastline extends for more than 30 kilometres, with coves, cliffs and inlets watched over by the well-known statue of Christ the Redeemer.
Matera: the City of the Sassi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and European Capital of Culture in 2019, attracts investors from around the world.
