If you only have one day at your disposal, perhaps for an excursion out of town, you might consider seeing the most beautiful places on the lake. One of the most beautiful places to see on Lake Garda is definitely Sirmione. This charming town is famous for its thermal waters, its Scaliger castle and the Roman ruins of a villa known as the Grotte di Catullo.

No less fascinating is Malcesine, located on the Veneto side of the lake. Here you can visit the Scaliger Castle, enjoy a panoramic view of the lake from the Monte Baldo cable car or stroll along the picturesque streets of the old town centre.

Finally, you can't miss Riva del Garda, located at the northern end of the lake. This city offers a unique combination of history, nature and sport. You can explore the fortress, hike the surrounding mountains or try one of the many water sports available.
