Personae – Elliott Erwitt

Elliott Erwitt, one of the most important photographers of the twentieth century, will be celebrated with an exhibition at the Reggia di Venaria; with over 170 images, the exhibition highlights the compositional elegance, the profound humanity, the irony and sometimes the comedy of the great American photographer.
From Kandinsky to Botero. Tutti in un filo

One hundred tapestries will be exhibited on the four floors of this amazing Venetian palace, whose total value is estimated at fifty million euro. Most come from one of the last Italian arazzerie weaving factories, the one founded in 1960 by Ugo Scassa, whose dream, never realized in life, was to exhibit his works in Venice.
These arazzi, as they're known in Italian, are capable of amazing anyone, for the fineness of the warp, the skill in mixing the colours on the canvas, thread after thread, interweaving after weaving, to create masterpieces that have decorated the great halls of parties during the course of the centuries.

"Animals", by the great American photographer Steve McCurry, is a project created especially for MUDEC. 60 famous and lesser known shots tell the stories the photographer himself lived, and which inextricably link man to the animal kingdom.
From MAGRITTE to DUCHAMP 1929: the great surrealism from Centre Pompidou

For the first time in Italy, the Centre Pompidou will send a series of masterpieces out on loan, being exposed in the permanent collection of what is the most important European institution dedicated to twentieth century art. About 150 works, including paintings, sculptures, objects, drawings, installations and photographs show the extraordinary adventure of the surrealist avant-garde.

The Palazzo Medici Riccardi will host the most famous images of this contemporary artist, who has gained such popularity through sharing on social networks. Among these the screenprint that depicts one of his most famous images, the girl with a red balloon in her hands (Balloon Girl), which became doubly famous a few months ago when her self-destruction occurred immediately after being auctioned for over 1 million euro.
Journey in the Colosseum – Magic charm of a monument

This exhibition aims to represent the incredible power that the Colosseum has always exercised on Gerhard Gutruf, through a selection of works created using different techniques and formats but all united by the same spirit, expressions and thoughts.
Escher

The exhibition presents the works of the incredible Dutch genius, in addition to a large section dedicated to the influence that his work and his creations have had on subsequent generations, from CDs to comics, and from advertising to cinema: a journey of about 200 works that starts from Escher and go right up to the present day.
