Tuscany takes centre stage in the ranking, boasting three of the top ten residences. The list is led not only by lavish villas but also by majestic castles, occupying the top two spots and highlighting the enduring allure of Italy’s historic estates.
At the pinnacle is the Castelfiorentino castle, perched amidst the rolling Tuscan hills just thirty kilometres from Florence. The analysis reveals that the highest price per square metre is recorded for Villa Palestro in the hamlet of Fabbrica, at approximately €48,717 per square metre. Conversely, the property with the lowest price per square metre is the one topping the list in terms of absolute value: the Castello di Castelfiorentino, at around €1,232 per square metre.
