On the shores of Lake Maggiore, in Baveno, the UIM 3D Class Powerboat World Championship, organised by the Italian Powerboat Federation (FIM), is due to take place once again. For this occasion the main sponsor of the event, the Zacchera family, active in the hotel industry, will reopen the rooms of the Grand Hotel Dino, which has been closed since January.

The hotel, one of the family's most prestigious assets, has been renovated to safely host athletes, VIPs and visitors during the three races over the five days from 30th September to Sunday 4th October, the day on which the 2020 World Champion will be crowned.

"We felt we had to do something to support our lake and the surrounding area, which has gone through a less than fortunate season, like the majority of the tourism sector in Italy. The area has always been the cradle of generous summers, as a destination chosen for elite tourism," comments Andrea Zacchera, Congress Manager of Zacchera Hotels. "It is certainly a great commitment for us to reopen our Grand Hotel Dino: but amply rewarded by the joy of seeing one of our flagships welcome its guests again for such an important event. Security and hygiene will obviously be a priority for us: we have taken all the necessary COVID-19 measures to ensure a safe - but no less exciting - holiday for our guests".
