Travelling to Italy this summer has just got a little easier, as the country has announced that all Covid entry requirements have been scrapped. This means that anyone travelling to Italy from abroad will no longer have to show a negative Covid test, proof of vaccination or proof of recovery from the virus. We have all the details on the latest travel restrictions in Italy.

The end of Covid restrictions is finally becoming more widespread in Italy with the summer season just around the corner, and this latest measure is the last remaining Covid-related rule that applies to those travelling to Italy. This comes after the requirement for those entering Italy to complete an EU digital passenger locator form was already lifted on 1st May 2022. This means no more green passes are needed to enter Italy, and everyone will be permitted restriction-free entry to Italy when it comes to the coronavirus.

The only thing to keep in mind when travelling to Italy is that a few restrictions do remain when it comes to wearing masks. Masks are still required in Italy on all public transport, including flights to and from Italy. This, however, is also to be reviewed by the Italian government and could be removed as early as 15th June.
