The long-awaited extension of Italy's Superbonus 110% scheme for home renovations is here. This applies to single-family homes in the country's "decreto Aiuti" (Aid Decree) which was approved by the Italian government on 2nd May 2022, meaning that owners of single-family homes in Italy will have more time to carry out building work on heir properties while taking advantage of the Superbonus 110. The deadline of 30th June 2022 to complete 30% of the work has been extended to 30th September 2022. We have the details.
When does the Superbonus for single-family homes expire?
As mentioned, the extension of the Superbonus 110 for single-family homes has been confirmed by the most recent decree, also known as the Energy and Supplies Decree (decreto energia e rifornimenti). This means that if 30% of the overall renovations aren't completed by the end of September 2022, homeowners, won't be able to continue to claim the bonus until the final deadline of 31st December 2022.
On top of the extension of the deadline of 30th June 2022 for completing 30% of the work, according to the new rule, the 110% deduction is also available for interventions on condominiums carried out by individuals (single-family buildings). In this case, the deadline to access Italy's Superbonus is 31st December 2025. Keep in mind that in this case, the claimable amount drops each year, starting at 110% and dropping to 70% in 2024 and then 65% in 2025.
