This is an annual ranking of the most beautiful and sustainable seaside resorts in Italy, which focuses on beach towns in Italy, as well as some undiscovered Italian coastal towns. Which coast is best in Italy? The 2021 ranking of the best seaside towns and resorts in Italy gives an overview of 45 of the most beautiful seaside areas in Italy selected from 98 tourist districts assessed on the basis of data collected by Legambiente on environmental characteristics and the quality of hospitality. Sardinia was the most awarded region this year, while Tuscany, Apulia, Campania and Sicily also received important awards.
