
Soave, a hidden gem in Veneto, has been named the "Borgo dei Borghi 2022", making it Italy's most beautiful village in 2022. The winner, announced during the Easter episode of the popular Kilimangiaro show, took the place of Tropea which held the "Borgo dei Borghi" title in 2021. Soave leads a ranking that sees Millesimo, in the province of Savona, in second place and Castelfranco Piandiscó, in Tuscany, in third. Borgo dei Borghi 2022
For the first time since the initiative to recognise Italy's best villages was launched, the victory went to a village in the Veneto region. Soave took the "Borgo dei Borghi" crown and was revealed live on television on RaiTre during the well known Italian programme, Kilimangiaro.
How many villages participated in the competition?
Twenty small villages participated in the 2022 "Borgo dei Borghi" competition, one for each different Italian region. The final ranking of the most beautiful Italian villages in 2022 is as follows:

Where is Soave, Italy?
Soave is a village surrounded by green expanses of vineyards and a walled enclosure thanks to the Scaliger Medieval Castle. It is the home of the well known Soave wine and is also famous for its "Strada del vino", a route of about 50km through the vineyards with numerous paths ideal for excursions by bike and on horseback.
