This summer, Uber is redefining luxury travel in Italy’s iconic Amalfi Coast with the launch of Uber Copter and Uber Boat, now available to book directly in the Uber app. Aimed at international travellers and residents in Italy, these new services promise unforgettable journeys by land, sea and air—just in time for one of the busiest travel seasons on record.
With over 5 million visitors expected to descend on the Amalfi Coast, Uber's new offerings provide a stress-free and stylish way to explore one of Italy’s most glamorous destinations.
Uber Copter: Capri by air

Skip the ferry queues and fly from Sorrento to Capri in a private dual-pilot helicopter. As announced by Uber, for €250 per person, groups of up to six can enjoy a round-trip experience, complete with door-to-door transfers from anywhere on the Amalfi Coast to a private helipad. Whether you’re planning a luxury day trip or want to impress your guests, Uber Copter offers an unbeatable perspective of the coastline.
Uber Boat: cruise in style
Prefer the sea? Uber Boat lets up to 12 passengers charter a traditional Italian Gozzo 35 boat for a 4-hour cruise along the Amalfi Coast. Departing from Sorrento Marina, each ride includes a personal skipper, complimentary snacks and drinks, and the chance to soak in the coast’s iconic blue waters in style.
Uber Reserve: beat the airport rush
Uber is also expanding its land services with Uber Reserve, allowing travellers to schedule rides in advance—perfect for seamless transfers, especially with the recent launch of international flights at Salerno Airport.

When and how to book
All three services—Uber Copter, Uber Boat and Uber Reserve—will be available to book via the Uber app from June 25, with helicopter and boat services running weekends only from July 26 to August 24. Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Availability is limited and subject to weather, so early reservations are advised.
Uber's growing popularity in Italy
According to Uber, over 400,000 international visitors used the app in Italy last summer, with demand rising 25% year-on-year in hotspots like Rome, Lake Como, and the Amalfi Coast. In the past 12 months alone, 60,000 people opened the Uber app on the Amalfi Coast.
“Italy is fast becoming one of our most popular destinations,” said Anabel Diaz, Vice President for EMEA Mobility at Uber. “This summer, we’re offering unforgettable experiences to help travellers explore by land, sea or air.”
