Festival dei Due Mondi 2026

The Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, Umbria, is one of Italy’s most established multidisciplinary arts festivals. For 2026, the theme is “Radici”, meaning “roots”, reflecting a return to the festival’s origins while opening up to younger generations.

Originally conceived as a meeting point between European and American culture, it now brings together opera, classical and contemporary music, dance, and theatre

One of the most anticipated events is “MIKA Symphonique”, where Mika performs alongside the Filarmonica del Teatro Comunale di Bologna, presenting symphonic reinterpretations of his best-known songs.

Held during the peak of the cherry harvest in Puglia, the event typically features evening concerts, family-friendly performances and exhibitions. There are also guided tours of the historic centre and the gastronomic competition “MasterCherry”.

“Metamorfosi” art exhibition

From 23 June, Rome hosts the major exhibition “Metamorfosi. Ovidio e le arti” at the Galleria Borghese.

The project stems from a scientific collaboration between the Rijksmuseum and the Borghese. It centres on Ovid’s Metamorphoses, one of the most influential texts in Western cultural history.

Works are presented in a version specifically designed for the spaces of the Villa Borghese, making this one of the most significant art exhibitions in Italy in summer 2026.
