The Building Group's latest project is Villa Emerald, a gem of architecture and design, overlooking Lake Garda. The villa's name evokes the colour of the waters in which it is reflected, in a blissful connection with the landscape and nature.
The Emerald private residence is characterised by a careful choice of colours and fine materials of the finishes, and by the great attention paid to the furnishing components, enriched with elements of art, in a majestic combination of design and architecture that makes the building extraordinary and unique.
Emerald is a project that fits harmoniously into the morphology of the site and takes full advantage of the rugged hillside within which it is developed. In its skeleton, the villa keeps the sinuous shape of the hills visible, in a solution of continuity with the landscape and a decentralised position with respect to the trapezoidal plot, designed to create a more extensive and usable outdoor area, with a large swimming pool and solarium area.
The dwelling is laid out with a special 'boomerang' shape that favours a frontal view of the lake and a fully glazed interior area that runs through the entire living area and the master bedroom. With an eye on privacy from adjacent properties, the external elevation of the property is completely blind, except for the entrance door, which is accessed via a walkway from the road.
Respecting the course and character of the terracing, the property comprises three floors, with the ground floor housing the pool area, garden and living area. On the lowest level you'll also find the driveway access and the underground garages, while a third level reached from the roof opens onto a flat terrace that from the Brescia side of Lake Garda allows a clear view of the Sirmione peninsula and the Veronese shores.
The building and installations are constructed using the latest technology and with the aim of optimising energy efficiency according to the criteria of the CasaClima certification, paying particular attention to thermal and acoustic insulation.
"This project was born with the aim of developing a dialogue between architecture and nature, enhancing the enchanting landscape of Lake Garda," said Piero Boffa, founder of Boffa Petrone & Partners and President of the Building Group. We tried to integrate Emerald into the terracing that leads to the lake, exploiting the conformation of the lot and the movement of the hills to the advantage of respecting the existing volumes and the view. Our design team is increasingly specialised in this type of intervention that aims to create beauty by making the most of the natural and site elements".
"The emerald is a gemstone that refers to elegance, perfection, refinement, and these were the cardinal points for the creation of Villa Emerald," observes interior designer Kristina Pulaeva. The interior of the Villa was conceived in collaboration with Elio Sereno Home as an interplay of contrasts and geometries that reveal an atmosphere that is both elegant and dynamic. The large glazed section amplifies the overall idea of space and allows the rooms to open up to the outside and the surrounding landscape. The lights and colours are inspired by the context of the "Mediterranean scrubland" of Lake Garda, as is also the choice of materials dominated by natural elements such as wood and marble, sometimes alternated with industrial-inspired metals for the furnishing accessories, the staircase and some works of art".
