The Trentino Christmas markets 2026 bring seasonal stalls, local food and festive events to cities and small mountain villages across northern Italy.
Several markets take place in historic centres, making them particularly handy for travellers combining a festive day out with museums, local food and a wander around medieval lanes.
Trento Christmas market 2026
Trento, the provincial capital, hosts one of the region’s key Christmas events. Its market is set across Piazza Fiera and Piazza Mostra, putting visitors close to the city-centre streets and public spaces.
Alongside the stalls, the market includes a food area serving flavours associated with the local area. At weekends, this gastronomic section stays open an hour later than the main market.
Dates: 20 November 2026 to 6 January 2027
Opening times: 10 am–8 pm. The food area is open until 9 pm at weekends.
Arco Christmas market 2026
Arco is a town of more than 17,000 residents, with a historic centre that hosts its Christmas market. The market starts in mid-November, though its early weeks follow a weekend-only timetable.
Stalls are spread through the historic centre and include gift ideas, crafts and seasonal specialities. There are also food outlets and tasting points, useful for a longer stop between browsing sessions.

Rango Christmas market 2026
Rango is an ancient village built against the mountain, located a short distance from Trento and Lake Garda. Its narrow lanes, stone houses and workshops form the setting for a market focused on traditional products.
Visitors can expect wooden stalls with handmade tools, wooden toys and local food. The market also includes rustic dishes associated with rural cooking.
Dates: 14–15, 21–22 and 27–29 November; 5–8, 12–13, 19–20, 26–27 and 29–31 December 2026

Rovereto Christmas market 2026
Rovereto hosts its market along Corso Rosmini, with more than 50 wooden huts placed in the old square and along the main street. The town’s festive programme is also referred to as Natale dei Popoli, or “Christmas of Peoples”.
The stalls combine local crafts, artistic items and local delicacies with food linked to several cultures, including those of the Holy Land. Another seasonal feature is the Via dei Presepi, a nativity route running from Palazzo Pretorio to MART, the modern and contemporary art museum. It includes handmade nativity scenes created by craftspeople from San Gregorio Armeno and Greccio.
