Italy is of course known for it's houses for sale at symbolic prices. However, the list of initiatives to save the villages in rural Italy is now going beyond 1 euro houses and there's a new idea on the block.

The small municipality of Petralia Soprana, in the province of Palermo, has also launched its very own 1 euro house project.
